About The Position

As a Product Designer, you will plan, design and execute products that are intuitive, functional, scalable, and aligned with user needs and business goals. In this role, you will collaborate with Product Managers, System Analysts, and Developers to design and refine solutions that enhance the user experience across our logistics and transportation services. In this role, you will be responsible for translating high-level product requirements into detailed design specifications. Your expertise in product design will help drive the creation of user-oriented, observable, feasible, and technically sound solutions. You will play a critical role in fleshing out technical stories, ensuring that designs meet both user needs and technical constraints.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3-5 years of experience in product design or product management, preferably with exposure to technical product development in logistics, transportation, or a related industry.
Strong technical understanding of software systems, with the ability to collaborate with system analysts and developers on detailed technical stories.
Solid grasp of product design principles (functionality, usability, user-centricity, etc.) and best practices, with a track record of delivering user-centered designs that solve real problems.
Experience in working closely with development teams, with a solid understanding of front-end and back-end technologies and how they impact design.
Analytical and data-driven mindset, with experience conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and technical requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead the design process for creation and adoption of personas, journey maps, requirements documents, and technical and design specifications that meet both user and business needs.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Systems Analysts, and Developers to translate business requirements into effective design solutions, ensuring readiness for development.
Evaluate technical constraints with development teams and participate in technical feasibility assessments during product discovery.
Conduct user research and usability testing to identify opportunities, validate solutions, and improve the user experience.
Lead user testing sessions to validate design concepts, using feedback to refine and enhance designs before final development.
Contribute to and maintain the design system, accessibility standards, and ensure a consistent user experience across products.
Document design decisions and technical stories, providing clear specifications and guidelines for Developers to follow.
Use user feedback, analytics, and industry best practices to continuously enhance products and design processes.
Stay current on emerging design trends, tools, and technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
