Starz•Greenwood Village, CO
•$83,500 - $129,300

About The Position

STARZ Entertainment is seeking a Product Designer to help shape the next generation of direct-to-consumer streaming experiences. As a premium entertainment brand building its direct-to-consumer future, STARZ is investing in the platforms, original programming, and subscriber experiences that turn great content into lasting customer relationships. If you want to design products used by millions of subscribers — in the living room, on the go, and on the web — in an environment that prides itself on craftsmanship, curiosity, and high-quality design execution, then STARZ is the right place to bring your talents. In this role, you will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Content & Merchandising, Growth/Marketing, and Data & Analytics partners to design and deliver best-in-class customer experiences across all STARZ streaming platforms — including native mobile, responsive web, and connected TV. You will participate in brainstorming sessions and design workshops; produce user flows, wireframes, designs, and prototypes to communicate and validate ideas; and collaborate with Engineering and QA throughout the development lifecycle to ensure pixel-perfect fidelity before your work is presented to millions of STARZ subscribers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience designing and shipping successful direct-to-consumer digital products and/or interactive experiences.
  • You possess a deep love for visual design and an uncompromising attention to detail.
  • Expertise in Figma’s suite of products and Adobe CC Product Suite; experience with After Effects and/or video editing is a plus.
  • You are a self-starter who excels at managing concurrent projects with minimal oversight, while proactively identifying and resolving usability issues within your projects.
  • You are a natural advocate for your work, with the ability to articulate complex design decisions clearly to cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
  • You have a solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), user research, user testing, A/B testing, and rapid prototyping, and you use data and experimentation to guide design decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, UX design, strategic design, or a related field highly preferred.
  • Experience designing for connected TV / 10-foot platforms (tvOS, Roku, Fire TV, Android TV) and/or streaming, subscription, or media products is strongly preferred.
  • Applicants must have an online portfolio showcasing design-led, direct-to-consumer work, along with a process-driven approach from problem definition and research, through ideation and final design implementation. Please ensure your portfolio includes a minimum of four pieces that went into market — not student or spec work — and, where possible, includes measurable outcomes or impact (e.g., adoption, conversion, engagement) rather than visuals alone.

Nice To Haves

  • experience with After Effects and/or video editing is a plus.
  • Experience designing for connected TV / 10-foot platforms (tvOS, Roku, Fire TV, Android TV) and/or streaming, subscription, or media products is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into functional, pixel-perfect product features that adhere to platform-specific best practices, while effectively communicating design solutions to team members to ensure alignment.
  • Design and continuously improve subscriber experiences across the customer lifecycle — including signup and plan selection, checkout, onboarding, winback, and cancellation/retention flows — with a focus on conversion, engagement, and reducing friction.
  • Maintain, implement, and help improve design system standards to ensure visual consistency across native mobile, responsive web, and TV platforms.
  • Build detailed UX flows to fully demonstrate the desired customer experience.
  • Work closely with Engineers, Product Owners, QA, and Business Analysts to make well-reasoned user experience recommendations.
  • Partner with UX Research and Data & Analytics to inform and validate design decisions through experimentation and subscriber metrics.
  • Elevate content discovery and merchandising — browse, search, recommendations, and personalization surfaces, including content artwork, badging, and metadata treatments that help subscribers quickly find and choose what to watch.
  • Design inclusive, accessible experiences that meet accessibility standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., WCAG, ADA/CVAA), including support for captions and keyboard-, remote-, and screen-reader navigation across platforms.
  • Design for the living room as a first-class platform: craft focus-based, remote-driven navigation and 10-foot experiences that follow connected-TV conventions across tvOS, Roku, Fire TV, and Android TV, alongside native mobile and responsive web.
  • Keep a finger on the pulse of evolving UI/UX trends, ensuring our product experiences are not only functional but visually elevated and industry-leading.
