About The Position

JetZero is developing a blended-wing body (BWB) aircraft that uses up to 50% less fuel and will be built to accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. As a Design Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working at the intersection of multiple design disciplines, including Product, Branding, Interior Design, and Customer Experience. You will collaborate across groups to contribute value-driven solutions, iterated and presented through immersive digital and physical environments. Interns will have access to a full-scale mockup and prototype lab and creative design studio in their new headquarters located directly on the historic Long Beach Airport.

Requirements

Minimum Junior level status in an accredited Industrial Design, Interaction Design, Visual Effects, Interior Design and Architecture (or similar) degree or certification.
Ability to work onsite in Long Beach 5 days a week.
Excellent aesthetic sensibility and skill to create engaging and cohesive design content, both in 2D, 3D and in physical prototypes.
Foundational understanding of design research, ideation and development processes.
Hands-on ability to prototype, build, and iterate your ideas with efficiency.
Hand sketching and rendering skills and ability to rapidly communicate your ideas.
Only applicants with current work authorization will be considered.

Nice To Haves

Experience with software tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Fusion360, Rhino3D, Solidworks, Unreal Engine is preferred.
