About The Position
AngelList is seeking a Product Design Lead to drive product design across its new banking, payments, wealth, and asset management businesses. This role involves building excellent products within each division while also defining the connective tissue across them to create a coherent ecosystem. The Product Design Lead will build and lead the design team, elevate the quality bar across products, and establish principles, systems, and discovery practices to position AngelList as the leading financial institution for private markets.
Requirements
- 8+ years as Product Designer
- 2+ years in a formal management role
- Specific experience working in complex domains with interconnected brand dynamics
- Systems thinker with strong interaction and visual design skills
- Hold a high bar for craft and quality
- Enjoy mentoring and developing other designers
- Understand that deep thinking, clear product vision, and customer obsession are some of the most important things designers bring to a team
- Enjoy collaborating on tight-knit cross-functional teams
- Orienting problem-solving dynamics to yield ambitious outcomes
Responsibilities
- Operate as a player-coach on a lean design team, partnering with cross-functional teams to build thoughtful product experiences.
- Recruit, lead, and develop a small team of elite designers.
- Elevate AngelList’s capacity for high-quality interaction and visual design, crafting elegant, intuitive experiences across complex financial systems.
- Deeply understand the range of AngelList customers, and use research and insights to clarify problems and deliver great design solutions.
