Product Design Engineer

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 2-4 years of product design, mechanical engineering, or new product development experience.
- Strong proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software.
- Understanding of engineering fundamentals including strength of materials, material selection, and mechanical design.
- Experience with design validation, testing, and engineering problem solving.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Must be able to meet U.S. export control requirements (ITAR/EAR) to gain access to technical data.
- Candidates must be eligible for employment in the US and meet the requirements of ITAR.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with industrial products, instrumentation, sensors, or engineered components.
- Working knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software and stress analysis techniques.
- Experience with D/PFMEA and risk-based design methodologies.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, machining, fabrication, and assembly operations.
- Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative mechanical products, components, and assemblies that meet customer requirements and business objectives.
- Create detailed product specifications focused on fit, form, and function.
- Partner closely with manufacturing, materials, quality, and operations teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to define new product requirements and technical solutions.
- Conduct engineering analysis, testing, and validation activities to optimize product performance and reliability.
- Apply Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles to improve quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate materials, manufacturing methods, and component designs to drive continuous improvement.
- Support product quality initiatives and resolve technical challenges throughout the product lifecycle.
- Document engineering designs, specifications, and development activities.
