You will conceive, design, and bring into production products that will redefine the Apple ecosystem experience. You will work closely with many different cross-functional teams, including Industrial Design, Packaging, Safety, Hardware Engineering, EMC, and Marketing.

Requirements

  • BS and above in Mechanical engineering, Material Science, Mechatronics or related field
  • Good English communication skills in both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability in plastic and sheet metal part design
  • Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and ability to use statistical tools and techniques
  • Working knowledge of finite element analysis theory and general mechanical engineering analysis
  • Computer-aided design (CAD) skills: 3D CAD experience required
  • Flexibility and comfort working in a constantly evolving environment
  • Flexible in traveling up to 60% throughout a year
  • 3+ years of experience in product design (preferably consumer electronic products, plus on cable related products)
  • Experience with component modules (Connectors, raw cables, electronics packaging, PCBAs)
  • Experience in teamwork with Contract Manufacturing Partners

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cable harness/assembly design preferred.
