Requirements

  • Successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a professional setting.
  • Competitive desire to exceed goals and grow results.
  • High degree of attention to quality, detail, and accuracy, along with excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Skill in file and directory management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of professional verbal and written communication, tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with a high volume of product.
  • Ability to prioritize work autonomously.
  • Excellent knowledge of grammar, spelling, and language rules.
  • Experience with product/contact management databases, i.e. using Salesforce CRM.
  • Advanced computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and database applications.
  • Aptitude and desire to learn other computer-related skills and software as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Higher Education is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of copyright law is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Review, register, and publish products (e.g. learning materials, cases, teaching notes (TN), and supplemental materials), while checking for compliance with current standard guidelines (format, templates), copyright issues, and reproduction quality.
  • Conduct a pre-review of product submissions from authors and/or writers and determine if the product should be rejected, altered, proceed forward to reviewers, and/or accepted to be registered.
  • Coordinate registered products through all channels, completing any requested product revisions in a timely and accurate manner and ensuring all stakeholders are kept in the loop with accurate and updated versions.
  • Complete the publishing process, including producing all final versions of new and/or revised products with applicable security and watermarks and ensuring all products have complete and accurate data stored on the appropriate systems (e.g. Salesforce, Ivey Publishing in-house system, etc.).
  • Identify, template, register, and publish products beyond regular submissions, ensuring standards of the product are maintained throughout the process, including audio cases and translated cases (ensuring same standards as English product version).
  • Seek approval for any product exceptions beyond the Ivey Publishing standards.
  • Extract data from Ivey Publishing database, ensuring proper data is being extracted.
  • Prepare, obtain, and sign all Independent Copyright Assignments and/or Case Writer Assignment Waiver.
  • Assist in case competitions as requested.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to authors in preparing their product submission, including providing feedback on manuscript content, structure, and presentation.
  • Collaborate with authors to ensure that their submission meets Ivey Publishing’s standards and requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance on the use of all Ivey Publishing standard guidelines, templates, etc. to Ivey Publishing staff, authors/writers, reviewers, and editors.
