About The Position
Bobcat’s student program is an opportunity created to empower young professionals. As a Co-op or Intern you will be presented the tools to further your professional development, apply your schooling to real-world projects, and gain hands-on experience while completing your undergrad degree. Co-op: An 8-month long opportunity, Co-op positions are a full-time employment experience. Co-ops are fully immersed into the worlds of corporate and production industry as a full-time team member. Internship: A semester long opportunity, Internships positions are a part-time employment experience. With the opportunity to extend multiple semesters, Interns tap into the foundations of our corporate and production industries. Co-op and Intern opportunities span across 18 of Bobcat’s different functions.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Chemical, Material, Metallurgical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to sustainability efforts such as metals recycling and responsible material use.
- Assist with process development, supplier engagement, project management, and AI Integration.
- Support existing projects involving material analysis, battery and engine compliance, and sustainability.
- Analyze industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to product compliance and sustainability.
- Research and monitor current and emerging national and international laws, regulations, and certification requirements to support planning, product launches, and compliance across key markets.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data related to chemical usage, emissions, industry standards, and extended producer responsibility.
- Maintain accurate records and databases to support compliance and sustainability efforts.
- Generate reports and summaries to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of product sustainability strategies and initiatives.
- Conduct research and analysis on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to product sustainability.
- Assist in the development of life cycle assessment, product carbon footprint, and environmental product documents.
