About The Position

The Product Cell Leader II is responsible for the complete supervision and operation of assigned department(s) or area under the direction of a Production Manager, and directs the activities of all personnel within that area. The role oversees personnel, department administration, labor relations, and continuous improvement efforts to achieve production schedules, maintain product quality, manage costs, and provide a safe working environment. The position requires flexibility to work any shift and overtime as needed, with less than 10% travel.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Approve overtime as needed.
Direct and train personnel to meet production schedules while maintaining efficient production standards and improving product quality.
Apply company policies and regulations and administer employee discipline in accordance with progressive discipline procedures.
Arrange maintenance of machines, equipment, and facilities in the assigned department.
Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials entering the department, as needed.
Keep department costs within budgetary limits, including scrap, overtime, rework, and consumable items.
Maintain good housekeeping, conduct weekly safety audits, and hold monthly safety meetings.
Interpret the collective bargaining agreement and attempt to resolve employee issues and grievances.
Recommend continuous improvements within the area of supervision using the QCI program to reduce product costs while meeting or exceeding customer quality expectations.
Maintain a collaborative working environment with other Product Cell Leaders and departments.
