About The Position

The objective of this position is to deliver year-over-year profit improvement (YOY) from Schreiber’s assigned product categories. The individual in this position will share strategic leadership for their category with the Vice President, as well as directly manage product groups within the category. This position requires a high level of teamwork and cross-functional leadership. Significant interaction is required with Sales, R&D, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Creative Services and Insights. Key deliverables include developing Marketing Strategy Plans and Tactics that drive new Products, Packaging, Promotional Programs and Profitability targets for product groups. In addition, they will lead the overall direction of the Product Category with the Core Team. This individual will bring marketing disciplines to this role and put them into play within our customer brand and control brand strategies. The success of this position will be measured by YOY profitable growth with direct impact in the US as well as Global awareness. This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule located at our Home Office in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The hybrid work schedule is 2 days onsite at Home Office and the remainder remote/working from home.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business with a Marketing emphasis.
  • 7+ years’ experience in marketing or general management in a consumer package good company.
  • Strong strategic abilities.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Financial and marketing acumen with the ability to deliver presentations to the highest levels of the company.
  • Must possess a proven track record of developing and executing strategic plans within a complex environment.
  • Ability to interpret consumer research and apply learning to drive results.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills include ability to: Influence middle/senior management through informal communication as well as structured presentations.
  • Work effectively at all levels and network across the organization to build relationships.
  • Demonstrated personal skills include: Ability to influence and persuade senior leadership across the company on key strategic marketing topics.
  • Be a strong team player within the Product Strategies team and across functional areas.
  • Be a strong communicator.
  • Be innovative, flexible and tenacious.
  • Have a strong results-orientation and be able to operate well without extensive supervision.

  • Ability to travel up to 15%
  • Must have a reliable internet connection (minimum 10 mb download speed) at home for remote and hybrid positions.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance (at least state minimum- more might be required), acceptable driving record per Schreiber Foods discretion, and vehicle that will ensure applicant can meet the travel necessities of the position are required.
  • Schreiber requires that an employee have authorization to work in the country in which the role is based.
  • In the event, an applicant does not have current work authorization, Schreiber will determine, in its sole discretion, whether to sponsor an individual for work authorization. However, based on immigration requirements, not all roles are suitable for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute US Growth & Impact Plan for Product Category: Create strategic marketing plans intended to drive growth through delivered profit targets. This is done with consumer trends in mind, with an awareness of competitor activity and with a knowledge of Schreiber capabilities and competencies.
  • Lead Core Team and work with Vice President on Category Cap-Ex plan.
  • Oversee successful execution of marketing plans.
  • Identify incremental opportunities to increase volume and profit (e.g., cost savings, new distribution, SKU rationalization, etc.).
  • Launch new products by leading cross-functional teams toward stated objectives utilizing EPM method as needed.
  • Evaluate packaging opportunities, identifying potential improvements (package sizes, single serve, environmentally friendly, convenience features, etc.) and leading the process of change.
  • Establish target “pricing ranges” by product in conjunction with Category Pricing POD.
  • SKU rationalization as necessary to improve Total Category VI.
  • Work with sales to develop key customer presentations and support materials.
  • Lead any necessary re-design initiatives with internal and/or external creative resources.
  • Work effectively within the marketing team to aid in the success of brands and segments outside “line of sight” responsibilities.
  • Utilize syndicated data to identify emerging consumer trends relative to products, sizes, flavors, etc.
  • Recommend custom primary research that is timely, relevant and actionable.
  • Develop presentations and selling aids that equip our sales partners with powerful selling stories.
