About The Position

Scientia Vascular is a leading innovator and manufacturer of endovascular medical devices. We use micromachining and microfabrication processes to manufacture products that provide physicians with enhanced performance for optimal outcomes for their patients. The Production Team Lead is responsible for organizing the activities of a production team to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and production requirements. This role requires the individual be an expert at the production process, communicate effectively, and have goal-oriented mindset to achieve quality and production targets.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 1-year experience working within the Scientia Vascular manufacturing environment as a fully trained and proficient product builder in the assigned area
  • The demonstrated ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend in English
  • A high attention to detail while executing work instructions and adhering to quality system requirements
  • Competency with basic mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • The ability to work in an environment that includes sitting, standing, stairs, manual dexterity, working while looking through a microscope, hand/eye coordination, light lifting

Responsibilities

  • Be a peer-leader who provides a positive work environment through coaching, encouragement, and celebration of successes
  • Enforce adherence to all Scientia Vascular safety requirements. Identify and/or escalate safety issues to supervision, engineering, and leadership
  • Perform all work in compliance with Company policy and Scientia Vascular’s quality system
  • Be fully proficient and cross-trained to all operations of the assigned production line
  • Manage day-to-day production assignments by setting goals, assigning tasks, monitoring production activities, and taking action to resolve issues and celebrate successes
  • Ensure team training is up to date and adequate. Provide training as required
  • Monitor and adhere to production tools such as in-process Kanban levels, scrap response, etc
  • Audit production activities for adherence to process instructions and provide real-time feedback to team members
  • Confirm the completeness and accuracy of job records and other documentation
  • Notify management of potential difficulties to production
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of assigned production area(s)
  • Responsible for material management within the production area, including ensuring jobs are built with specified components, notification of needed Kanban items, and maintaining stocks of critical materials
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
