Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
8+ years of related experience

Responsibilities

Develop and recommend product line objectives, including sales volume and profit forecasts.
Direct market development, sales promotion, distribution, and pricing policies.
Analyze market trends and potential.
Prepare sales forecasts for planning manufacturing operations and controlling inventories.
Recommend modifications of the assigned product or products.
Maintain contacts with distribution centers and important customers to follow up on promotion efforts.
Maintain contact with the salesforce to monitor trends and keep informed of salesforce needs.
Develop methods for field testing merchandising programs to determine public acceptance.
Evaluate the effectiveness of promotions and advertising programs, and recommend improvements or changes.
Review complaints and suggestions relative to assigned product or products.
Participate in the preparation of advertising programs for the assigned product or products and supervise market research.
Develop and recommend new product concepts.
Coordinate departmental activities with other departments, such as engineering and manufacturing, to ensure synergism of objectives.
