About The Position

Entegris is currently seeking a technical Manager to join our New Product Development team. This position will be based in our Burnet TX facility and is an in-person onsite position. In this role, you will lead a team that is responsible for testing and validating new ALD and CVD products. Crucial testing includes optimizing precursor delivery performance with various equipment configurations. Compatibility of the precursor chemicals with various hardware components and impurity transport profiles are also critical aspects to successful development cycles.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or Chemistry or equivalent field with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with CVD/ALD precursor applications
  • Successful managerial experience is also required
  • Demonstrated working understanding of vapor pressure and solid delivery as it relates to semiconductor CVD/ALD equipment design and performance
  • Working knowledge of characterization techniques including IR spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, NMR spectroscopy, ICP/MS, gas chromatography, microscopy, surface analysis are essential.
  • Demonstrated background and knowledge configuring, designing, and maintaining CVD/ALD precursor test equipment.
  • Ability to take advanced experimental learning and drive improvements as related to CVD/ALD precursor testing

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of metal corrosion mechanisms is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a motivated group of New Product Development engineers and scientists, creating first of a kind DoE’s, oversee data collection and storage, review and interpret analytical data sets, prepare and review high quality internal and external presentations, make technical recommendations based upon the results gathered and submit IP as needed
  • Lead and coordinate the team’s work with a range of internal and external customers
  • Design and oversee operation of precursor delivery test equipment including in-situ monitoring, sample collection, and characterization
  • Operation, design, and CIP of materials of compatibility test equipment including sample collection, analysis, and characterization as it relates to stability and compatibility of key component materials
  • Post service examination of vessels utilized in various applications, collation of data, identify trends and make recommendations on hardware designs based upon the results
