About The Position

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines. Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands. As the Product and Business Strategy Lead, you will play a pivotal role in defining the direction of Google One and Google’s consumer AI and storage subscription business. Functioning as a key part of the organization’s engine, you will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities and partnering with leadership to determine the path to scale. This role requires a balance of proactive thinking and cross-functional influence: you will synthesize data into actionable insights and build the business cases that shape both the near-term and long-term product roadmaps. You will serve as a critical nexus and cross product area influencer, ensuring all initiatives align with the goal of Google One as the "Best of Google" membership.

  • Ability to build business cases from scratch, with the technical proficiency to extract and synthesize ambiguous data (e.g., via SQL) into a structured "source of truth" for decision-making.
  • Demonstrated product intuition, with the ability to look beyond data to advocate for features and value propositions that drive long-term loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Develop holistic business models that connect user needs, product features, and financial viability with xGoogle considerations.
  • Identify growth levers and influence stakeholders to translate opportunities into short-term and long-term product roadmaps.
