About The Position

Skipcart team at 7-Eleven is on a mission to bring on-demand delivery to cities and towns throughout the United States. We serve our communities by connecting our network of gig-economy drivers to restaurants, retailers, and grocers. We are seeking a dynamic and analytical leader to join our team as the Product Analytics Lead for Skipcart. This position involves managing and executing various Skipcart analytics and data science projects to support a large cross-functional stakeholder group across Skipcart, 7-Eleven and 7-Now teams. The role requires developing and maintaining comprehensive analytics frameworks, developing machine learning models and plans to deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) for Skipcart business. Additionally, the position entails conducting in-depth analysis to provide actionable business insights and support data driven decision-making, shaping business strategies, making our products/processes more intelligent and maximizing the value of our marketplace platform for our merchant partners, delivery drivers, and consumers. While this is an individual contributor position, the role acts as the primary support and trusted advisor to the Analytics Director, providing essential support and expertise. The individual sets a high standard in solving complex problems and demonstrating analytics expertise and is expected to coach and guide other scientists on the team. Requirements

  • Bachelors/4 Year Degree (Major in Analytics or STEM or Econometrics preferred).
  • 3+ years’ experience with data analytics programming in JavaScript, Python SQL or equivalent.
  • Experience in building models to predict financial impact of decisions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SQL and NoSQL query syntax, data cleansing and data transformation.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing the Driver Pay strategy/model.
  • Perform day-to-day analysis to determine overall effectiveness of pay strategy and plan.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand the needs and requirements related to the Skipcart driver and partner experience.
  • Manage critical Billing reconciliation and related financial reporting for Skipcart with 7-Eleven partners.
  • Prepare necessary ML modeling and analytics to determine profitability opportunities at a national and regional and promotional level.
  • Anticipate and evaluate impact of analytical solutions on related projects as part of the developing complex analytical algorithm/solutions for various business problems
  • Stays current with analytical advancements and provide thought leadership in choosing the right algorithm for solving a given business problem.
  • Decompose large and complex problems into simple and easy to understand solutions.
  • Present and share complicated machine learning and data science solutions to leadership, stakeholders, and cross functional team.
  • Provide Product team data-driven insights and analysis to support ongoing sales and profitability growth.
  • Participate in internal & external technology & analytical forums and discussions.
  • Prioritize workload, ensure high quality solutions that adhere to standards and best practices are delivered in a timely fashion.
  • Proficiency with manipulating large datasets, data analysis and modeling software (Python, Spark, etc.).
  • Design frameworks for the team to develop A|B testing framework.
  • Synthesize data and analysis (e.g., A/B testing) to generate actionable insights to solve complex problems.
  • Conduct deep dive analysis to identify profitability optimization opportunities, apply problem solving methodology to drive sustainable improvements.
  • Apply existing and new solutions in creative ways to address complex issues and problems.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently analyze data, generate relevant insights, present to diverse audiences, and convey sophisticated findings in a clear and impactful way.
  • Ability to develop frameworks and train teams do the same.
