Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience managing systems that support administrative operations
  • Experience gathering information from technical and functional stakeholders to clarify business processes, desired outcomes, and or system requirements
  • Experience supporting HR, finance, student services, or other business processes within an ERP or SIS system
  • Experience synthesizing information into reports or briefs and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university.
  • Experience working in Higher Education or similar large non-profit organizations
  • Familiarity with product management methodology including product requirements documentation, product backlog management, road mapping and or user stories
  • Certification in Workday within HCM or FINs or Student

Responsibilities

  • As a Product Analyst, you’ll work with product managers, end users, functional users, developers, business stakeholders and vendors to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements and business processes.
  • You will prepare and maintain detailed documentation pertaining to functional and technical requirements, propose and assess solutions, configurations, testing, and system operations.
  • You will work cross-functionally to implement releases that align with the product strategy, bridging complex business problems to solutions by contributing to solutions for usability and end-user adoption, which support University strategic initiatives.
  • You will also monitor product performance and recommend improvements to enhance usability and efficiency.
  • The product analyst will support the day-to-day operational processes, developing and implementing procedures in response to changing business needs and program design.
  • As Product Analyst, you’ll be able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Workday functionality and advise users requiring assistance in solving complex problems or configurations.
  • You'll apply your experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences to draft and deliver training materials and campus communications, ensuring the community both knows what the system can do, and how to use it.
  • You will work with product managers to define and document reporting needs, create reports and enhance end-user experience through reporting solutions.
  • You will perform data analysis to support evaluation of system defects or to develop requirements for new functionality; triage and troubleshoot complex user-reported system defects; assist in various system trouble shooting and balancing and correction efforts including analysis, verification and validation of issues and fixes.
  • You may be asked to take on additional responsibilities, including occasional off-hours or weekend work.
