About The Position

Fidelity Institutional (FI) is looking for a Product Analyst of Portfolio Construction Solutions (PCS) to join Wealth Advisory Managed Solutions (WAMS). This role is accountable for implementing the development and maintenance of analytical tools used in the portfolio construction process. These tools will be utilized by the Investment team and partners across FI for discussions with external clients. The tools include platforms for portfolio risk & analytics, manager research, risk modeling, and optimization, with oversight of an enabling data environment. The Product Analyst will facilitate requirement sessions, articulate business requirements, and work within the technology organization to deliver new features and functionality. As a member of the product team, they will contribute to the growth of the Portfolio Construction Solutions business, collaborating with analysts, product managers, engineers, and architects to define solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or above) in either Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Mathematics or Finance related fields
• 3+ years of business analysis and/or systems analysis experience
• Customer-obsessed mindset with the ability to translate user needs into measurable product improvements.
• Strong experience acting as a product analyst across multiple and different product lifecycles
• Highly effective interpersonal and teamwork skills that enable the cultivation of relationships across investment, technology, distribution, and other teams across Fidelity
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Motivation to work collaboratively to drive product initiatives from idea to market
• Continuously improving and encouraging an Agile way of working

Nice To Haves

• Expertise with portfolio construction, Investment Management, Wealth Management techniques, demonstrating knowledge of different investment products will be plus

Responsibilities

• Leading the requirements gathering of new features and/or enhancements for our portfolio construction platform.
• Collaborating with the business and technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions for business problems.
• Bringing curiosity and a questioning mind-set to work, asking always about the “why” and the “value” of new features/enhancements to the platform.
• Collaborating and coordinating with developers, engineers, and UX designers and enabling squad member growth, development, and learning.
• Assisting with the development and oversight of a robust portfolio construction data environment and platform for use both internally and externally.
• Ensuring robust data quality checks are in place to enable the use of all tools.
• Conducting product acceptance testing and validation.
