Requirements

  • Good interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information while maintaining a great deal of professionalism.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills (internet & MS Office), with the ability to maintain records using a computerized system.
  • Effective negotiation skills, with the ability to make sound decisions consistent with essential job functions.
  • A Current VSA MDC License.
  • A valid British Columbia Driver’s License with a good driving record.
  • Experience, drive, and proven success selling pre-owned vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by determining prospective clients' vehicle needs through questioning and active listening.
  • Promote new business and expand the customer base through prospecting and referral networks.
  • Sell new and pre-owned vehicles and demonstrate vehicles, including conducting test drives.
  • Understand automotive terminology and stay updated on product technology and inventory changes.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with all products, including features, specifications, prices, colors, options, and standard equipment, and participate in product training.
  • Effectively use closing techniques and seek management assistance when necessary, while maintaining a profit-minded approach.
  • Deliver new and pre-owned vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand operating features, warranty, and paperwork to build customer loyalty.
  • Introduce customers to Service Department personnel to highlight the quality and efficiency of dealership service operations.
  • Set monthly productivity goals and plan strategies to achieve them.
  • Adhere to all dealership processes and procedures to ensure excellent Customer Satisfaction Index ratings on sales, delivery, and follow-up.
  • Attend department meetings as required.
  • Sell pre-owned vehicles, demonstrating experience, drive, and proven success.
  • Follow company safety policies and practices, and immediately report any accidents to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
