About The Position

The Product Administration Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining large-group dental benefit booklets. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that large group dental benefit booklets contain accurate plan information and regulatory language. The Product Administration Specialist works closely with internal teams, including Account Management and Legal. The Product Administration Specialist reports to the Product Administration and Contracts Manager. This position will be with Stratacor, an affiliate of Delta Dental of Minnesota.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, ensuring a consistent work product that is thorough, precise, and error-free.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret benefit language in documents, contracts, or similar materials.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines independently.
  • Ability to consistently meet productivity and quality expectations with little oversight; identify and present nuances that may impact business processes.
  • Works effectively with internal partners to analyze data, gather information, partner with internal stakeholders, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Adjusts to shifting priorities, system changes, and evolving workflows with ease.
  • Proactively identifies and escalates issues to prevent downstream errors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, business related software).
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally for cross-departmental collaboration.

  • ERISA and non-ERISA benefits knowledge.
  • Familiarity with group benefits structures, plan designs, or insurance terminology.
  • Experience with dental and/or vision insurance products.

Responsibilities

  • Create new large group booklets for fully insured and ASO (Administrative Services Only) dental plans with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Process booklet update requests for existing group accounts.
  • Maintain a database of finalized booklets on a shared internal company drive.
  • Review and interpret group contracts, benefit summaries, and underwriting documents to ensure accurate booklet benefit language.
  • Verify that all required documentation is received and complete prior to processing.
  • Coordinate with Account Management, Legal, and other internal departments to clarify group setup and resolve discrepancies.
  • Respond to internal inquiries related to benefit booklet status and custom language requests.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation for all group requests processed.
  • Follow established workflows, procedures, and quality control standards for all tasks.
  • Assist with reviewing and validating booklet accuracy against the system as needed.
  • Support process improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline Product Administration booklet workflows.
  • Meet established productivity and quality metrics on a consistent basis.
  • May assist in the development of process documentation and/or reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned
