About The Position

The Producer of Smosh Alike plays a central role in developing and delivering engaging unscripted content across YouTube and social platforms. Reporting to the Director of Smosh Alike, this position blends creativity, coordination, and comedic instinct to support the day-to-day production of flagship Smosh Alike content. Ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving creative environment and loves creating compelling content as much as they love learning about new things.

• Has a strong understanding of what makes unscripted content engaging.
• Keeps cast, crew, and cross-functional partners aligned through timely updates, thoughtful collaboration, and respectful feedback.
• Moves projects forward with clarity and consistency, tracking deadlines, assets, notes, and feedback with precision.
• Can step up and steer when needed, but knows when to listen and support.
• Thrives in a flexible, ever-shifting production environment while staying focused on creative and production goals.
• Confident guiding talent and crew during production and shaping content during post-production with a steady hand, collaborative spirit, and strong comedic instincts.
• 2–4 years of experience producing digital content, creator-led formats, or large-scale unscripted productions
• Confident directing talent and collaborating with cast, crew, editors, and freelance creatives
• Strong awareness of pop culture, internet trends, and the evolving YouTube and digital media landscape
• A strong interest in learning about niche subjects and internet lore
• Experience managing post-production workflows and providing editorial feedback
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite, and Monday.com
• Known for follow-through, flexibility, problem-solving, and a positive, team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

• Coming to the table with ideas for new topics, segments, and guests.
• Researching current internet trends and press tours.
• Research guests coming in to find out potential questions and topics to bring up on set.
• Participate in pre-interview calls and create a welcoming environment for them.
• Coordinate with production on pitch forms, call sheets, casting, schedules, and talent releases.
• Own and direct episodes when assigned, and help ensure shoot days run smoothly and collaboratively.
• Partner with editors to shape story arcs, guide tone and pacing, deliver editorial feedback, and finalize episodes for publishing in collaboration with the social team.
• Maintain strong communication with cast, crew, post-production, and channel leadership to keep creative and production priorities aligned.
• Partner with Brand Partnerships and Production teams to bring sponsored content to life while ensuring integrations feel authentic to Smosh Pit’s voice.
