The successful candidate is an editorial leader who brings a creative flair to storytelling, innovatively working with sound to create memorable moments for the audience. They are definitely a self-starter, with a proven journalistic track record of working to tight deadlines that might seem impossible to others. They live and breathe podcasts and have a wide-ranging knowledge of domestic and international news as well as arts and culture and how to frame it to make it relevant to the lives of contemporary Canadians. The ideal candidate will bring a distinctive life experience, perspective or expertise to the team that will enrich Front Burner’s content. They have a deep understanding and appreciation of diversity of perspective, opinion and experience. They must also have a clear understanding of CBC News Journalistic Standards and Practices.
