About The Position

Solace is seeking a Producer & Project Manager to be the operational backbone of its in-house video team. This role involves partnering closely with editors, creatives, marketers, and stakeholders to produce compelling video content from concept through final delivery. The Producer will manage shoot logistics, coordinate crews and vendors, oversee budgets and schedules, and drive the post-production process. This is a highly collaborative role within the Creative organization, working closely with Marketing and other cross-functional teams to create content that reflects the Solace brand and achieves business objectives. Solace is a fully remote company, and this role requires regular travel for production shoots, company offsites, and occasional visits to the Redwood City office.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience producing video, with meaningful time spent in both field production and post-production coordination
  • A track record of independently running shoots of varying scale, including travel productions
  • Experience building and managing budgets, negotiating with vendors, and handling payments
  • Strong organizational instincts - you build systems, not just to-do lists
  • Excellent stakeholder communication; you can push back diplomatically and keep projects moving
  • Fluency in post workflows (review platforms, versioning, delivery specs); you don't need to edit, but you need to speak the language
  • Emotional intelligence and discretion - our subjects often share personal health stories, and we treat that trust seriously
  • Applicants must be based in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, documentary, or brand storytelling
  • Corporate event or live production experience (stage visuals, A/V, event photography)
  • Familiarity with Premiere Pro-based pipelines
  • Existing crew and vendor networks in the Bay Area, Southern California, or other major markets
  • Experience with Linear or similar project management tools

Responsibilities

  • Co-own shoot production end to end: scheduling, location logistics, crew and vendor booking, gear coordination, call sheets, and day-of production management
  • Produce a mix of Bay Area shoots and travel productions in markets like Miami, San Diego, and other locations nationwide
  • Build and manage production budgets, track spend, and handle vendor payments and reconciliation
  • Source and manage relationships with freelance crew, rental houses, studios, and other vendors across multiple markets
  • Coordinate vendors for company offsites and events, including stage visuals, A/V production, and event photography
  • Coordinate with interview subjects - often patients, caregivers, and advocates - with care, discretion, and professionalism
  • Serve as the connective tissue between the video team and internal stakeholders, managing project intake, expectations, and communication across marketing and other departments
  • Help manage schedules and workloads across a post team of two senior editors and an assistant editor
  • Run feedback rounds: consolidating stakeholder notes, translating them into clear, actionable direction for editors, and keeping revisions on schedule
  • Own quality control on every cut that goes out for review - versioning, delivery specs, and detail-level accuracy are non-negotiable
  • Track projects and requests in Linear, keeping status visible and dependencies clear
