CNBC Digital Video is looking for a news-obsessed, jack-of-all-trades producer for its News and Programming team. This role involves creating and curating videos covering the most important business, markets and political stories of the day. The producer's main responsibilities will include covering several hours of TV programming each day, selecting excerpts of the most compelling moments, and posting them on site and other platforms. Coordinating with TV producers and digital editorial teams daily to ensure we capture relevant moments is crucial to this role. In addition to clipping and curating, this producer should be able to handle various stages of production (shoot, script, and edit) for news-focused, short-form videos. They should also be able to collaborate with colleagues and support them on project production as needed. The ideal candidate is a motivated, disciplined, and tech-savvy producer who can craft smart headlines, write timely and engaging original video scripts, and assist with various forms of production for our strategic content needs, including Pro/Investing Club and others. The producer will work under tight deadlines and collaborate across several departments at CNBC. The producer should have a proven track record of high-quality storytelling and impeccable news judgment. A background in business/financial journalism is preferred.
