About The Position

Summerhill Market is a Toronto boutique grocer known for scratch-made prepared foods, freshly baked treats, and on-trend ingredients. They are looking for reliable, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working early mornings in a fast-paced production environment to join their Commissary team. The role involves preparing fresh produce for store distribution, adhering to recipes, portioning, and food safety standards, packaging and labeling products, maintaining cleanliness, and meeting daily production targets. The position requires supporting team members and contributing to a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Ability to start work at 5:30 AM and commit to a 9-hour shift
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail and food safety practices
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Reliable, punctual, and ready to work

Nice To Haves

• Previous kitchen or food production experience is an asset

• Wash, cut, and prepare fresh fruits and vegetables for store distribution
• Follow recipes, portioning, and food safety standards
