Parkway Consumers Co-operative Limited is currently seeking a Produce Department Manager to join our Food Store team in Roblin, Manitoba. Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of retail experience with 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for customer service and team development.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the Produce Department.
- Manage departmental sales, margins, expenses, pricing, and inventory performance.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members.
- Foster a positive, engaged, and customer-focused team culture.
- Ensure high standards of merchandising, freshness, product quality, and store image.
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards and effectively resolve customer concerns.
- Review and analyze department results and implement improvement plans as needed.
- Manage ordering, receiving, inventory control, supplier invoices, and claims processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, and workplace safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with the Food Store Manager to achieve store goals and operational objectives.
