Requirements
- Possess proficient knowledge of products and operations of grocery department.
- Must be 18 and over.
- Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions and solve problems.
- Able to work well with others as a team member.
- A passion for serving people.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail and organization.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalency degree
- Experience with meat cutting
Responsibilities
- Keeps all products and case displays fully stocked at all times.
- Receives deliveries and follows protocol to rotate and stock products as needed.
- Works to achieve the collective goals of the organization and supports the mission, vision and values of NetCost Market.
- Displays fruits and vegetables to give an impression of abundance and quality, while maintaining proper storage conditions.
- Labels items accurately with price tags or signs. Reports price discrepancies or signage needs to managers.
- Contributes to the product flow process in the store by receiving daily deliveries and distributing to sales floor as directed.
- Maintains knowledge of all the products and operations of the Department.
- Maintains a close liaison with vendors regarding products to be ordered.
- Assists in ordering, stocking and displaying of products.
- Maintains a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
- Informs store manager regarding customer requests and concerns.
- Responsible for training and development of new and existing employees in all aspects of the job, such as stocking and merchandising, sales and customer service, and other department related tasks.
- Complies with sanitation and safety standards.
- Provides excellent customer service and resolves issues.
- Ensures customers are served quickly, efficiently and in a pleasant manner.
- Responds resourcefully to customer requests and concerns.
- Ensures clients have an outstanding shopping experience within the store.
- Utilizes and maintains equipment as required by department.
- Informs store manager regarding customer concerns and employee matters.
- Other duties as assigned.
