About The Position

The Produce & Floral Specialist is the store’s point person for produce, floral, and gift center department excellence. The role ensures product freshness, merchandising accuracy, and compliance with food safety standards while supporting an exceptional guest experience and maintaining operational integrity. The specialist owns inventory accuracy, rotation standards, and presentation, and supports guest engagement and department readiness for promotions and seasonal events.

The position pays $19.17–$20.45 per hour and requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays. The work includes spending long periods on your feet, standing or walking for up to four hours without a break or as required by law, repetitive hand and arm movements, grasping, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds, and exposure to extreme temperatures. Team members must wear approved head and facial hair coverings and personal protective equipment when required.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, grasp, bend, reach, and lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to spend long periods on feet and stand or walk without a break for up to 4 hours or as required by law.
• Ability to work around extreme temperatures.
• Ability to use knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Must wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure produce, floral, and gift center products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of produce, floral, and gift center items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness and follow proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Support compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.
