About The Position

Summerhill Market is a Toronto boutique grocer known for scratch-made prepared foods, freshly baked treats, and on-trend ingredients. They are looking for energetic, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in fresh, beautiful displays and love working with high-quality produce to join their Dundas team. The role involves delivering an exceptional customer experience in the produce department, assisting customers with product selection, stocking and rotating produce, maintaining displays, monitoring product freshness, trimming and prepping produce, supporting merchandising, and assisting with deliveries and inventory.

Requirements

• A passion for fresh food and quality ingredients
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization
• Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift and carry products and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience in the produce department
• Greet customers warmly and assist with product selection and recommendations
• Stock, rotate, and replenish fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the day
• Maintain clean, full, and visually appealing displays
• Monitor product freshness, quality, and shrink
• Trim, prep, and cull produce to ensure top presentation standards
• Support merchandising and seasonal displays
• Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing backroom inventory
• Follow all food safety and store standards
