The Produce Clerk provides prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service, maintains the produce department's presentation, and assists with inventory and stocking. This role involves following approved procedures for receiving, pricing, and stocking products to ensure accuracy, quality, and proper rotation. The clerk will replenish fruits, vegetables, and other items, moving products between storage and display areas, including refrigerated boxes. Key responsibilities also include assisting with inventory control to maintain freshness, quality, and turnover, while minimizing out-of-stock or overstocked items. The clerk handles damaged and spoiled products according to company policy, monitors expiration dates, and ensures a clean, attractive, and friendly department image. Other duties may be assigned.
