Full-Time Produce Clerk
About The Position
Kimberton Whole Foods in Downingtown is looking for a Full-Time Produce Clerk. This position requires availability for opening, closing, and midday shifts within a 6am-8:30pm timeframe. One weekend shift is required per week. The role involves providing outstanding customer service, receiving and stocking produce, rotating and inspecting produce, maintaining product signage, sustaining fresh displays, performing inventory management, and assisting the front end with scanning groceries and bagging. The position requires the ability to work in cold environments and handle cold products.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Full sense range (vision, hearing and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers.
- Lifting, gripping and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products.
- Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
- Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
- Standing- prolonged standing.
- Work environment – movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking & standing) rather that sedentary (sitting).
- Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to all
- Receive and stock out all incoming fresh fruits, vegetables and department related items
- Rotate and inspect produce
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage
- Sustain abundant, fresh displays throughout department
- Perform KWF inventory management practices
- Assists the front end by scanning customers groceries and completing all transactions. Carefully and efficiently bags groceries.
