About The Position

Lunardi’s Markets is seeking warm and friendly individuals for the Produce Clerk position. This role is ideal for self-motivated individuals with an eye for detail who enjoy interacting with people and are willing to grow within the organization. The Produce Clerk will provide excellent customer service, cut and package fresh fruit and vegetables following food safety and sanitation standards, ensure the freshness and quality of product, monitor and maintain proper rotation of all fresh produce, update and maintain product signage and department appearance, report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager, and work with various equipment and tools. The role also requires acting with honesty and integrity and protecting the safety of oneself, co-workers, and customers.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.
Reliable and display positive attitude.
Able to work in an environment that can at times be very fast paced.
Able to multi-task while observing high standards of safety and quality.
No experience required.
Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
Standing: Up to 8 hours per day.
Walking: Up to 8 hours per day.
Reaching/ Bending: Up to 8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service, address the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner.
Cut and package fresh fruit and vegetables following food safety and sanitation standards.
Ensure the freshness and quality of product upon delivery and restocking.
Monitor and maintain proper rotation of all fresh produce.
Update and maintain product signage and department appearance.
Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
Work with various equipment and tools throughout your shift such as box cutters, knives, trash compactors, cardboard balers, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
Protect the safety of oneself, co-workers, and customers at all times, and reports safety-related accidents and incidents to management immediately.
