About The Position
North Central Co-op is seeking a Full-Time Produce Clerk to join their Hawkstone Food Store team in Edmonton, AB. This role is responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience by offering friendly greetings and engaging with customers, providing them with a high level of product knowledge to assist with purchase decisions. The organization is a member-owned, sustainable entity focused on benefiting local communities and is experiencing growth with over 100,000 member-owners and 650+ team members across various locations.
Requirements
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic approach to work
- Efficient and accurate when working in a busy environment
- Must be able to lift 30lbs consistently
Nice To Haves
- Previous retail experience preferred
- Open availability is an asset
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service to customers in the produce area
- Package, wrap, and label produce
- Maintain a display of produce ensuring facing, filling and organization of products meets company standards
- Monitor temperatures, clean equipment and workspaces
- Other duties as required
