About The Position

Weis Markets is looking for a passionate and energetic Produce Associate to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining the produce department to meet customer demands, ensuring merchandise is appealing and saleable, and providing excellent customer service. Requirements

• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Keep the produce department well stocked and appealing.
• Greet customers, answer questions, handle special requests, and resolve concerns.
• Unpack, clean, trim, and stock produce merchandise.
• Ensure merchandise is saleable by rotating stock for freshness.
• Price merchandise correctly with proper signage.
• Maintain the salad bar and prepare cut fruits and vegetables.
• Assist in building attractive displays.
• Complete product logs accurately.
• Handle spoiled, damaged, new, and discontinued items according to company policy.
• Maintain general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and guidelines.
• Ensure work areas, equipment, and display cases are clean and meet health and OSHA requirements.
• Dispose of trash properly.
• Minimize shrink and control damages.
• Report shortages and overages to the manager.
• Assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, and storing deliveries (training provided).
• Assist with baling cardboard or other related duties (training provided).
• Cooperate with co-workers and superiors to ensure smooth department and store function.
• Continuously improve job performance.
• Utilize all company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Assist in other departments as needed.
