About The Position

As a Produce Associate, you are responsible for the most colorful and inviting department in the store. We are looking for a professional, punctual, and high-energy individual to ensure our fruits and vegetables are always fresh, beautifully displayed, and ready for our neighbors' tables. Whether you are prepping fresh-cut fruit or unloading the morning delivery, your hard work keeps our community healthy and happy.

Requirements

• A courteous, punctual teammate who smiles, greets customers, and conducts themselves in a professional manner at all times.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and transport heavy produce crates via hand truck in a busy environment.
• Precision in weighing incoming articles and identifying produce that needs to be rotated or culled.
• A "can-do" attitude and a willingness to assist management and fellow associates to provide a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Unload fresh and boxed produce from delivery trucks using hand trucks.
• Count, weigh, and verify all incoming items against invoices.
• Maintain peak freshness by examining and rotating stock in storage to prevent aging and minimize waste.
• Cut and prepare fruit into portions suitable for individual sale and attractive packaging.
• Keep the sales floor stocked and organized, ensuring a clean and safe shopping environment for all guests.
• Use high-pressure hoses and brooms to keep slicers, prep containers, and storage rooms spotless.
• Safely operate specialized equipment, including slicers, knives, and heated wrapping stations.
