Procurment and Sourcing Specialist
About The Position
Emerald Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Procurment and Sourcing Specialist for our Salem, NH site to support both customer quoting activities and procurement operations within our manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring accurate pricing, timely material sourcing, and effective supplier coordination to meet customer and production demands. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with Sales, Program Management, Engineering, and Operations to develop competitive quotes while supporting ongoing production requirements. This position plays a key role in balancing cost, quality, and delivery objectives, helping drive overall business success in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in purchasing, quoting, procurement, or supply chain
- Manufacturing experience required; EMS experience strongly preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage customer quotes, including material pricing and cost analysis
- Source materials, components, and services while evaluating supplier pricing and lead times
- Issue purchase orders and maintain strong supplier communication and relationships
- Support cost reduction efforts and participate in supplier negotiations
- Maintain accurate purchasing and quoting data within ERP systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer and production requirements
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and material availability
