About The Position

At Armtec, we're looking for a Procurement & Supply Chain Coordinator to join our growing team. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations across Canada by coordinating purchasing activities, managing inventory, and ensuring our production teams have the materials they need to succeed. Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Inventory Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory management, and production planning.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical thinking and enjoyment in identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs.
  • Initiative and ability to work well independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Enjoy providing exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Source and purchase raw materials, finished goods, specialized components, equipment, and services to support manufacturing and customer orders.
  • Create, manage, and reconcile purchase orders, including expediting deliveries and resolving discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to ensure material availability while optimizing stock levels.
  • Assist with forecasting, inventory transfers, shipment tracking, and inventory planning across multiple locations.
  • Obtain supplier quotations and provide pricing, lead times, and freight costs to support estimating and customer service teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Monitor supply chain risks, including supplier capacity, transportation delays, and market conditions, while proactively identifying solutions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Assist with training and other departmental initiatives as required.
