About The Position

This role involves purchasing incoming vehicles from vendors at the store level, utilizing established check-in procedures. The specialist will work independently to achieve management-defined goals and facilitate communication with vendors to purchase vehicles following inspections and set pricing guidelines. The position requires the ability to work with diverse customers and achieve set customer service levels. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience in buying automotive vehicles at salvage yards.
• Great customer service skills are a must.
• Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain, and incorporate functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases.
• Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records. May explain and offer guidance on routine procedures.
• Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive, and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
• Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.
• Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.

Nice To Haves

• College coursework preferred.
• Automotive background preferred.

Responsibilities
