About The Position

SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Procurement Specialist to oversee and facilitate the components of the Electronic Warfare Business Area logistics system from placing orders to transportation to delivery. The Procurement Specialist should be well-versed in supply management principles and practices. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to maintain smooth operations between various groups, work closely with multiple layers of management, successfully maintain relationships with vendors and be able to track and update spreadsheets as well as maintain eQuip. A Procurement Specialist should be an excellent relationship builder with good interpersonal skills. Analysts will have experience with data collection and analysis tools and know how to develop recommendations to improve the supply chain process.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Level Security Clearance is Required.
  • Some experience in supply chain, logistics or inventory control
  • Experience working in and maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel
  • Professional communication skills when conversing and negotiating with vendors
  • Exceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenges
  • Ability to research companies and determine the best vendors for various projects
  • Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP & eQuip)
  • Ability to constructively collaborate with various individuals with a variety of personalities.
  • Adaptability, as well as skills in dealing with uncertainties.
  • Ability to adjust in a teamwork environment.
  • As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus
  • Warehouse experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of supply chain laws, regulations and ITAR requirements preferred.
  • Experience in U.S. Navy/Military programs or operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for procurement requests, ensuring timely and accurate processing of purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Obtain vendor quotations to secure the best value while meeting quality, delivery, and budget requirements.
  • Source goods and services from qualified suppliers in accordance with company policies, contractual obligations, and government procurement regulations.
  • Review procurement requests for completeness, accuracy, funding availability, and compliance prior to processing.
  • Create purchase requisitions and track purchase orders in Costpoint and other procurement systems through final receipt and closeout.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, delivery schedules, and other purchasing conditions.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of procurement issues.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Program teams to identify purchasing needs and support project requirements.
  • Monitor order status, expedite deliveries when necessary, and communicate updates to requesting departments.
  • Reconcile procurement documentation, invoices, packing slips, and receiving records to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain project specific spending and ordering within a Procurement Workbook.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS), and other applicable government contracting requirements, as applicable.
  • Utilize Costpoint, eQuip, Microsoft Excel, and other business systems to manage procurement transactions, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Support audits by maintaining complete, accurate, and compliant procurement documentation.
  • Assist in developing and improving procurement procedures, workflows, and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Perform other procurement, purchasing, and operational support duties as assigned.
