The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the purchasing process for assigned categories or vendors. This role ensures cost-effective procurement of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and supplier performance. The Procurement Specialist supports strategic sourcing efforts and collaborates cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in procurement or buying.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Knowledge of sourcing best practices and supplier management.

Responsibilities

Manage purchase orders from creation to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, pricing, and service standards.
Conduct cost analysis and negotiate contracts to achieve savings targets.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., production, finance, engineering) to align procurement with business needs.
Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify risks and opportunities.
Maintain procurement records, forecasts, and inventory levels as needed.
Assist in developing sourcing strategies and participate in supplier selection processes.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
