Join us! We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our Finance team. You will play a key role in enabling effective, compliant, and well-governed procurement across the organization. This role is best suited for someone who combines strong operational execution with sound judgment. You are comfortable owning procurement processes end-to-end, while working collaboratively with business units, Legal, Security, and Finance to ensure appropriate oversight and risk management. You are detail-oriented, proactive, and able to identify when to escalate risks or concerns. You thrive in a cross-functional environment and bring a pragmatic, service-oriented approach to procurement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management (preferably in a technology or services environment)
  • Post-secondary education in business, supply chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience supporting or leading RFP/RFQ processes
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices, including contract coordination and supplier management
  • Ability to identify risks in vendor engagements and escalate appropriately to Legal, Security, or Finance
  • Experience working cross-functionally with business stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Procurement certification (or in progress) is an asset
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems for procurement activities is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business units to understand procurement needs and support vendor selection processes
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy of specifications, pricing, approvals and budget alignment
  • Coordinate procurement activities from intake through to contract execution and supplier onboarding
  • Monitor order fulfillment and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Ensure procurement activities meet governance, audit, and information security requirements
  • Identify and escalate legal, financial, or information security risk, and ensure appropriate review by Legal, Security, and Finance
  • Participate in audit and compliance activities, working with auditors and maintaining procurement documentation to support supplier reviews and control requirements
  • Track contract renewals and proactively manage timelines to avoid auto-renewals or service disruption
  • Maintain required supplier documentation (e.g., insurance certificates, reports)
  • Support supplier governance activities, including performance monitoring, contract compliance
  • Escalate supplier performance or contractual issues as needed
  • Support and/or lead sourcing activities (RFPs, RFQs, competitive quotes) in collaboration with business units
  • Ensure sourcing processes are fair, transparent, and aligned with organizational policies
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, tools, and policies and promote consistent procurement practices across the organization
