About The Position

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of parts, equipment, systems, and services for the organization. This position ensures that all purchases are aligned with company goals, project timelines, and budgets, while ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role has an operational focus with an emphasis on customer service, strategic planning for business growth expectations, and day-to-day procure to pay processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years purchasing/supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
  • MRP experience, SAP preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree; or one to two year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years preferred purchasing/supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Manages procurement of assigned goods/commodities in agreement with company policies and objectives
  • Manages transactional activities related to the quotation, purchase, and delivery of assigned goods/services
  • Reviews requisitions for accuracy and completeness
  • Continually works to improve data accuracy and system integrity
  • Monitors and drives cost reductions across procurement activities without compromising quality. Ensures value-for-money for all purchases.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, stock levels, and timely deliveries of products and parts to avoid production delays
  • Manages supplier relationships, analyzes performance, and provides feedback
  • Tracks and analyzes metrics to develop and implement improvement plans
  • Actively pursues supply-base rationalization
  • Manages issue resolution regarding defective material returns, corrective action requests, and invoicing
  • Supports engineering change notices
  • Builds and maintains relationships with internal customers to identify and address needs and develop improvement opportunities
  • Works with various departments to support projects and new product introductions
  • Other duties as assigned
