About The Position

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, and services in support of Certarus operations. This role will manage procurement activities from request through delivery, work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and help drive cost savings, process improvements, and inventory optimization across the organization. The successful candidate will be an experienced procurement professional capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years proven experience working as a procurement specialist, ideally in oil & gas, compression, manufacturing, maintenance, or heavy equipment supply
  • Understanding of business drivers and ability to develop work and execution plans to meet objectives
  • Demonstrated experience in creating new contracts, renewing existing contracts and negotiating contracts with new and existing suppliers
  • Ability to plan, delegate and evaluate progress toward goals for multiple ongoing projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and organizational capabilities; detail oriented; capable of working in an autonomous environment; as well as in collaborative groups
  • Commitment to strong HSE and Trade Control Compliance culture
  • Able to travel to meet vendors and suppliers as necessary

  • Experience with import/export regulations an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in a timely manner
  • Handle medium- to high-complexity procurement requests from field operations and corporate departments
  • Source materials, equipment, and services to ensure best value and timely delivery
  • Solicit and evaluate supplier quotations to support purchasing decisions
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to improve pricing, service levels, and lead times
  • Assist with supplier onboarding and vendor performance management
  • Monitor open purchase orders and proactively resolve delivery or supply chain issues
  • Support inventory planning initiatives by identifying critical stock requirements and replenishment needs
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and hub personnel to understand procurement requirements and priorities
  • Support capital projects by sourcing equipment and coordinating procurement activities as assigned
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiations, standardization efforts, and process improvements
  • Provide guidance and support to junior procurement team members as needed
  • Escalate significant supply, pricing, or vendor issues to procurement leadership when necessary
