The Procurement Specialist will apply analytical thinking, planning, execution, and focus to the procurement sourcing and delivery capability area. Strong problem-solving and core procurement skills will be used to collaborate effectively with internal procurement teams and business stakeholders, translating business needs into sourcing, spend management activities, and content enhancement. Leveraging general procurement and commodity expertise, the role ensures effective and efficient delivery of core procurement services and continuous improvement of automation and content availability. Collaboration with team members will support customer demand, enhance the customer buying experience, manage day-to-day operational activities, and provide capacity and expertise for productivity and customer-oriented projects/solutions.

Requirements

University degree, with a business degree preferable.
3+ years of experience in sourcing, contracting, operational efficiency projects, or relevant commodity experience, preferably in the Pharmaceutical industry.
Knowledge in the Clinical Development and/or Clinical Technologies area (e.g. IxRS, Patient recruitment, Patient questionnaires, licensing etc.).
Ability to explain general capability area information to others or collect/translate moderate complexity stakeholder requirements in straightforward situations.
Knowledgeable in procurement systems and operational processes, such as contracting, e-Sourcing, and spot buying is desired.
Proven capability in negotiating project budgets and contracts.
Knowledge and experience in supplier management, contract negotiations, cost optimization, market research & analysis in R&D categories.
Understand the related R&D regulations (e.g. GCP).
Skills in project management.
Business level fluency in English.

Nice To Haves

Business degree preferable.
Experience preferably in the Pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities

Conduct market and internal analysis to develop and implement strategies and tactical plans for sourcing and negotiating third-party goods and services that satisfy stakeholder requirements.
Deliver and execute sourcing strategies by leveraging spend, category know-how, robust sourcing, negotiation, contracting, supplier management, and project management skills to achieve objectives and key results.
Translate sourcing outcomes and opportunities into content and automated buying channels that improve business adoption, satisfaction, and overall efficiency.
Support customer demand, improve the customer buying experience, deliver on day-to-day operational activities, and provide capacity and expertise to provide productivity and other customer-oriented projects/solutions.
Determine the various roles needed to deliver project and foundational work within the broader team and GP networks and squads.
Play a variety of roles according to experience, knowledge, and general business/team requirements.
