About The Position

LG Electronics is seeking a Procurement Specialist for its LGEUS IPO (International Procurement Office) Team. This role will support HQ procurement activities with suppliers in the US and Mexico, focusing on sourcing new mechanical parts, injection molding, press/sheet metal, and raw materials. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and identifying cutting-edge technology for current and future LG products. The position is based in Farmers Branch, TX, requiring onsite work five days a week. The ideal candidate is proactive, eager to learn, enjoys travel to meet suppliers, and is driven to achieve goals.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years’ experience working at a mechanical products company or consumer electronics/industrial products company.
  • Experience in procurement / purchasing / sourcing of Mechanical components (Injection Molding, Die-Casting, Press/Sheet Metal) or Raw Materials (Steel, Resin) is a plus
  • Frequent business trips required to support LGE HQ teams’ business trips to suppliers.

  • Bachelor’s degree majoring in mechanical engineering or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sourcing of new local suppliers of Mechanical Parts, Raw Materials, in terms of Quality, Cost, Delivery competitiveness
  • Develop sourcing strategies to expand the sources of new suppliers for LGE’s production site in US and Mexico
  • Develop and release RFQs to new suppliers, reviews price quotes, and deliver samples to HQ.
  • Monitor and analyze procurement strategies within North American market. Benchmark pricing, sourcing locations, and supply chain structures to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for steel-related suppliers and market trends. Track raw material indices, trade tariffs, and industry shifts that impact mechanical part pricing.
  • Introduce new technology companies to LGE HQ for LGE future products.
  • Manage and resolve difficult procurement/purchasing issues with suppliers such as deliveries and shortages.
  • Support discussions with HQ procurement team to resolve complex Procurement/Purchasing/SCM issues in North America including areas such as price negotiation, supply disruption, new supplier registration etc.
  • Provide on-site support to HQ employees traveling to suppliers on business trips.
  • Conduct market research, perform detailed analysis and create executive reports on major semi-conductor suppliers, service providers, automotive manufacturers and consumer electronics related to LGE business through various channels including media. Research and reporting areas are industry news and market trends, trading company reports, automotive and consumer electronics latest trends including acquisitions, investments, blackouts, government policies and regulations to impact on LGE.
