About The Position

The Procurement Specialist II is responsible for managing a variety of procurement tasks to support the daily operations of the Procurement Department. This role will focus on sourcing materials, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining project-related procurement documentation. The Procurement Specialist II will work independently on smaller EPC projects, while ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials and services in alignment with project requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or equivalent, education is required
  • Minimum of 1- year direct procurement experience with proven success supporting purchasing, expediting, and vendor communications in an EPC firm setting.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new procurement processes and systems.
  • Strong reading and writing skills with the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision, while also working effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in all procurement activities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or other applicable field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Source materials as specified by engineering and project management teams, ensuring all project requirements and specifications are met.
  • Independently manage procurement for smaller EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects from initiation to completion.
  • Maintain and update purchase order logs, procurement spreadsheets, and other project-related documentation to ensure accuracy and timely tracking of orders.
  • Expedite material purchases and rental equipment to meet project deadlines and operational needs.
  • Contact vendors as necessary to resolve issues such as missing materials, missing Proof of Delivery (POD), request quotes, or obtain updated lead times.
  • Coordinate vendor drawings between engineering teams and manufacturers to ensure alignment with project specifications and timelines.
  • Respond to phone calls and emails, addressing any inquiries or issues related to procurement tasks, and provide accurate information in a timely manner.
  • Relay procurement-related information to other departments and teams, ensuring smooth communication and proper documentation.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the Procurement Department and project operations.
