About The Position

The Southwest Florida Water Management District (District) is seeking a Procurement Services Student Intern to gain valuable hands-on experience supporting the Procurement Services Office. This role involves working alongside procurement specialists on real-world purchasing and contracting activities, with opportunities to collaborate with various teams. The District's Student Internship Program aims to provide students with practical work experience and knowledge related to their field of study. This internship is based in the District's Brooksville, FL office and is not eligible for remote work. The District is committed to protecting water resources, minimizing flood risks, and ensuring public water needs are met for nearly 6 million people in west-central Florida.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or other recognized educational or vocational program
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 for undergraduate students or minimum GPA of 3.0 for graduate students
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Assist Procurement Services staff with collection and storage of vendor performance records
