Procurement/Sales Support Specialist

DataVizionUrbandale, IA

About The Position

At DataVizion, procurement is not a back-office function. It is a strategic capability that determines whether our clients get the right technology, at the right price, on the right timeline. We are looking for a Procurement Specialist / Sales Support who understands that sourcing IT solutions is part research, part negotiation, part relationship management, and part precision execution. This role lives at the intersection of vendor management and client solutioning. You will own the procurement workflows that keep our Sales and Engineering teams moving — pricing, deal registrations, lead time research, product holds, and renewal pipelines — while partnering directly with Account Executives to translate client needs into sourced, supported solutions. Your relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and vendor reps will be a meaningful driver of how well DataVizion serves its clients. If you are the kind of person who enjoys working on the details, navigating partner portals fluently, and building the vendor relationships that unlock better outcomes, this role will put your procurement instincts to work on consequential projects. The Impact You'll Make: The Procurement Specialist / Sales Support owns the sourcing, quoting, and vendor coordination work that powers DataVizion's client engagements. You will apply technical discretion and procurement judgment, drawing on working knowledge of IT manufacturers, distributors, and supplier ecosystems to deliver supported business solutions alongside the Sales and Engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated procurement, sourcing, or purchasing experience in the IT channel, including direct work with manufacturers, distributors, and vendor representatives.
  • Familiarity with manufacturer partner portals and deal registration processes (Aruba, Fortinet, HPE, Microsoft, Dell, or similar IT vendor ecosystems).
  • Experience with quoting tools, CRM/PSA systems (ConnectWise, Autotask, Salesforce, or comparable), and distributor portals (TD SYNNEX, Ingram Micro, D&H, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of contract and licensing renewal management.
  • Strong negotiation instincts and comfort advocating for pricing and terms with vendor partners.
  • Detail orientation that holds up under volume — deal reg numbers, special pricing approvals, and vendor quotes do not get lost in your workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end procurement workflow for equipment, software, licensing, and professional services, from initial sourcing through purchase order and fulfillment confirmation.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with manufacturer representatives, distributors, and vendor partners to secure competitive pricing, manage product holds, and research lead times.
  • Submit and manage deal registrations across manufacturer partner portals, ensuring DataVizion's pricing protections and partner benefits are captured on every eligible opportunity.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors and manufacturer reps, escalating strategically when better outcomes are possible.
  • Proactively manage contract and licensing renewal queues to prevent service gaps and identify renewal-stage opportunities.
  • Research product availability, supply chain conditions, and lead times to set realistic delivery expectations for internal teams and clients.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of deal registration reference numbers, manufacturer special pricing, vendor quotes, partner agreements, and other procurement artifacts that other DataVizion resources rely on.
  • Stay current on manufacturer product roadmaps, program changes, distributor channels, and pricing structures across DataVizion's vendor ecosystem.
  • Partner with Outside Sales and Account Executives to translate client needs into sourced, quoted solutions, identifying future project opportunities along the way.
  • Create customer-facing product and professional services quotes and proposals.
  • Monitor the presales ticket queue and turn around quotes within service expectations.
  • Facilitate recurring in-person business reviews with assigned managed service clients, surfacing procurement-relevant insights about upcoming refresh cycles, license consolidation opportunities, and vendor program changes.
  • Periodically serve as a point of escalation and communication during critical circumstances, business-impacting outages, or sensitive service issues.
  • Coordinate with internal DataVizion resources across pre-sales and post-sales workflows to keep client commitments on track.
