About The Position

Rent the Runway (RTR) is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Planner to join their supply chain team. The role will focus on optimizing inventory, ensuring supplier reliability, and maintaining competitive procurement costs. This position offers significant exposure to complex supply chain operations within the fashion rental industry. The role is based at the Arlington, Texas warehouse and requires on-site presence Monday-Friday. The Procurement Planner reports to the Senior Manager, Procurement & Planning.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel and/or Google Sheets).
  • Ability to work comfortably with data and numbers.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to project manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining accuracy and meeting competing deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with fashion retail, e-commerce, or rental business models.
  • Internship or 1–2 years of supply chain, procurement, or operations experience.
  • Knowledge of inventory planning concepts (ABC analysis, reorder points, safety stock).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels at target safety stock for Texas and New Jersey warehouses.
  • Create and process purchase orders weekly, ensuring accuracy in quantities, specifications, and delivery timelines.
  • Track shipments and coordinate receipt with procurement clerks at each warehouse.
  • Manage supplier relationships by tracking delivery performance and quality metrics.
  • Address quality issues and negotiate terms for optimal pricing and service.
  • Identify cost-reduction opportunities through contract review, price benchmarking, and process improvements in partnership with the Senior Manager, Procurement & Planning.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams across both warehouses to align supplies with business needs.
  • Own essential reporting for weekly business reviews, focusing on procurement KPIs and days-on-hand metrics.
