We are seeking a Procurement Operations Manager (Procurement/Expediting) to support hyperscale data center construction projects in a PMC /owner’s representative capacity. This role focuses on active expediting, vendor engagement, recovery planning, and delivery risk management for critical equipment and procurement packages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related fields.
  • 7+ years of procurement, expediting, or supplier management experience.
  • Experience actively expediting equipment or material deliveries.
  • Experience making direct vendor calls to confirm schedule commitments.
  • Experience conducting factory visits or supplier progress reviews.
  • Experience developing recovery plans for at-risk deliveries.
  • Experience escalating delivery risks to vendor leadership.
  • Ability to present delivery recovery positions to owner stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multiple active purchase orders across packages.
  • Experience working on large capital construction or infrastructure programs.
  • Strong documentation, follow-up, communication, and issue-resolution skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing 40+ active purchase orders simultaneously.
  • Experience supporting hyperscale data center or mission-critical projects.
  • Experience in a PMC, owner’s representative, developer, or client-side environment.
  • Experience with critical electrical, mechanical, or technology equipment packages.
  • Familiarity with factory production schedules and supplier reporting.
  • Experience with Procore, Oracle Unifier, SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Smartsheet, or Power BI.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain factory production schedules for all critical long-lead items and monitor vendor progress against those schedules on a regular cadence - not only when a delivery is flagged as at risk.
  • Actively expedite at-risk equipment and procurement packages.
  • Make direct vendor calls to confirm progress and commitments.
  • Conduct factory visits to verify production and delivery status.
  • Identify procurement risks before they impact project milestones.
  • Develop recovery plans for delayed or at-risk deliveries.
  • Escalate delivery risks directly to vendor leadership.
  • Present recovery positions and recommendations to the owner.
  • Track purchase orders, supplier commitments, and delivery milestones.
  • Coordinate with vendors, project teams, GC, and owner stakeholders.
  • Maintain expediting logs, recovery trackers, and risk registers.
  • Support procurement reporting, lookaheads, and leadership updates.
  • Drive closure of open supplier actions and delivery commitments.
