Procurement Officer - East Central Regional Hospital
About The Position
Under supervision, the Procurement Officer provides professional-level category support across a variety of procurement activities and assists with ongoing category and vendor performance management. The position is with the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities at East Central Regional Hospital. Employment may require evaluations, vaccinations, professional licensure, or certifications to support the safety and wellbeing of employees, individuals, and communities served. Required evaluations or vaccinations may include drug screening, a tuberculosis evaluation, and annual influenza vaccination. Limited exemptions may be available for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs. A national and state background check is required as a condition of employment. Some positions may require Georgia Procurement Manual area-specific certifications.
Requirements
- Associate degree in accounting, business, or a directly related field from an accredited college or university; or a technical diploma in accounting or business and one year of job-related experience in a procurement environment; or one year of experience as a Procurement Agent Trainee (FEP019), Procurement Technician (FET112), or equivalent position.
- Some positions require Georgia Procurement Manual area-specific certification(s).
- May be required to complete evaluations or vaccinations, including drug screening, tuberculosis evaluation, and annual influenza vaccination.
- A national and state background check is required as a condition of employment.
